Honoring Mr. Buck Shuman

Mr. Buck Shuman, a pioneer in the Vidalia onion industry and the beloved patriarch of the Shuman Family passed away on May 31, 2024, at the age of 91. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and a cherished member of the Tattnall County community.

For two generations, Shuman Farms has been dedicated to growing and delivering the highest quality sweet onions. Our legacy began in the mid-1980s with a small family farm in Reidsville, GA. Today, we are an industry-leading, year-round grower and shipper of sweet onions.
